I've seen some screenshots on various forums that show different color HUDs while people are in power armor and I really dislike this orange color. WebWe see the Institute becoming a super power and the Brotherhood coming in to destroy it. Same thing happened between the Brotherhood and the Enclave. It's a microcosm of what happened to the world. 2 super powers fight and everyone else is just trying to survive in their wake while being shamelessly exploited.
