WebThat's why every ranged character takes Precise Shot and it's just a feat tax. If you don't require Precise Shot or post feat tax: The first case is no change. The second case is -4 to attack (+0 total so 12 to hit.) Only a -20%, but that's still pretty nasty as you're left with a 45% chance to hit. So over half the time you'll miss.
